Chemical Peel

A chemical peel uses a specially formulated chemical solution to improve the skin with different ingredients used to achieve the perfect results for you. Chemical peels work by removing the outer layer of skin which holds onto damage and is often rough and dry. Many people can benefit from a peel, but it is especially beneficial for those with pimples or acne, uneven skin coloring, or winkles.

20% Lactic Lightening Peel

What is it?

Derived from milk, Lactic Lightening peels are very mild chemical peels with little to no downtime. During the lactic acid peel, your skin will feel warm and turn pink. This post-peel pink skin could last for a few hours or a few days. It’s normal and will go away on its own, but you should wear sunscreen, stay out of the sun, and avoid exfoliating or scrubbing your skin until after your skin heals.

Why choose it?

Because lactic acid is naturally found in the body, there is less chance of an allergic reaction with this type of peel.  Therefore, they are a good choice for first-time peel users or for those with sensitive skin. Individuals with dry or oily skin types can also use this peel with good results. Lactic acid is especially good for use on mature skin. These kinds of peels don’t burn or make your skin physically peel. Lactic acid peels are a great way to treat superficial skin damage. It can revitalize and brighten skin, draw moisture into the skin, and keeping it looking young and healthy.

30% Glycolic Peel

What is it?

Glycolic acid is currently a popular treatment for wrinkles and acne. Part of the alpha hydroxyl family of natural ingredients, glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and is a fruit acid. When applied to the skin, it helps to remove the “glue” that holds the older, rougher and dryer skin onto the surface. When a glycolic peel removes that top layer of skin, a fresh new layer of skin is visible.

Why choose it?

These peels are to improve skin tone,  decrease the size of pores, and give a healthier glow to the skin. Since glycolic peels are mild, they are best used to treat surface imperfections. They are also safe to use on all skin types, and there is no downtime or heavy peeling to deal with afterward. However, since these peels are superficial and only penetrate the outermost layer of your skin, you will need a series of treatments to see significant results. They can be a great maintenance tool to keep your skin looking great. People who have glycolic acid peels are often amazed with the results – they look younger, with fewer fine lines and wrinkles. For individuals with acne, they often notice their skin is less oily and much clearer.

10% TCA Depigmentation Peel

What is it?

TCA peels or trichloroacetic acid peels, are medium-strength chemical peels that rejuvenate and repair the skin. They improve skin discoloration, reduce fine lines, and even out skin texture. The TCA peel is stronger than other peels and causes the outer layer of skin to physically peel, so they will require around a week of healing downtime. However, the results are usually well worth the wait!

Why choose it?

TCA peels brighten and even out skin tone by reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation (dark spots, acne marks, sun spots, freckles) and skin discoloration. They revitalize dull-looking skin, helping skin look soft and smooth. Because of their deep exfoliating effects, TCA peels can clean out congested pores to refine the surface of your skin. TCA peels are also great for erasing fine wrinkles and treating sun damage.
